Generals Ink Russo For 2017
The Herkimer Generals have signed defender Sarah Russo from Cherry Valley. Russo was a 5 year varsity starter for Cherry Valley. She helped them to a sectional runner-up in 2015 while leading them to a Section 4 Co-Championship title. She was team captain and garnered 1st Team Tri-Valley All Star this past season. She was also named Defensive MVP in 2015. “Sarah will be looking to come in and fill a void in the back for us,” Coach Palkovic said. “She is a very tenacious defender and has a great work ethic. I have seen her play for a couple years and I know that she will fit into our system quite nicely.”
