PTA Program Class of 2015 Has Impressive Results From Boards TestingHerkimer County Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program is designed to prepare students to be skilled health care providers who work under the supervision of a physical therapist. Herkimer’s PTA class of 2015 earned a 95 percent pass rate on the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) National Exam. Graduates must pass the national board exam in order to register with New York State and practice as a physical therapist assistant.

Joshua Parkinson Appointed Advisement SpecialistHerkimer County Community College has appointed Joshua Parkinson, of Fort Plain, NY, as an advisement specialist in the Advisement Center. Parkinson will advise and assist students with course registration and changes in academic plans.

Holocaust Survivor Presentation Postponed“An Afternoon with Helen Sperling: Holocaust Survivor, Historian, Teacher” previously scheduled for Wednesday, December 2 from 4-6 p.m. at HCCC has been postponed. Updated information will be released when the program is rescheduled.

American Red Cross Blood DriveHCCC is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, December 3 from 10:30 am – 3:00 pm. It will be held in Alumni Hall, room 217 in the Robert McLaughlin College Center. The blood drive will be co-sponsored by the Center for Student Leadership & Involvement and the men’s baseball team.
