  HCCC to Offer Instant Admit Days

  HCCC will offer 10 Instant Admit days this summer for students interested in enrolling for the fall 2015 semester. Students interested in enrolling will be able to visit, apply and get admitted to the College on the same day. Instant Admit days will be held on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

  HCCC Awards Academic Honors for Spring 2015

  HCCC awarded academic honors to 480 students for the spring 2015 semester. Of those students awarded honors, 184 were named to the President's List for earning a grade point average of 3.80 or higher, and 296 were named to the Dean's List for earning a grade point average between 3.25 and 3.79.

  Herkimer Elementary Students Visit HCCC

  Approximately 95 sixth grade students and their teachers from Herkimer Elementary School recently attended a field day at HCCC. The students learned about academic programs and the career fields they lead to, received guided tours of the campus and the Nature Trail, and enjoyed recreational activities and games at Wehrum Stadium. They also had an opportunity to meet HCCC’s new president, Cathleen McColgin, on her third day on campus. Pictured with President McColgin are several of the students from the group.   HCTV News Wins Top Honors in AP Awards

  Students enrolled in the Communication Arts: Radio-Television Broadcasting program at HCCC can now add awards for “Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast” and “Best News Story” to their accomplishments. “HCTV News” won the top prize in both categories at the New York State Broadcasters Association Associated Press awards dinner on Saturday, June 6 in Saratoga Springs.

  HCCC Children’s Center Receives National Reaccreditation

  The HCCC Children’s Center recently earned a five year reaccreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

  HCCC Student-Athletes Receive Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award

  Three HCCC student athletes have received the 2015 SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award recognizing a combination of outstanding academic excellence and superior athletic achievement. The three HCCC students were among 80 recipients statewide this year.
