  • Club/Organization Showcase held at HCCC
    HCCC’s Center for Student Leadership and Involvement held a Club/Organization showcase to promote participation in student activities and increase membership in student clubs. The Human Services Club pictured here, took first place in the table display contest winning $100 for their club. Tying for second place was the Physical Therapist Assistant Club & Fashion Club ($75 each) and their place was the Travel Club ($50).   • HCCC Appoints Coordinator of International Academic Programming
    HCCC announces the appointment of Ember Traino of Utica, NY to the position of coordinator of international academic programming. Traino will be responsible for developing and managing international academic programming, teaching in the English as a Second Language (ESL) instructional program, coordinating ESL testing, placements, course outlines and assessment, advising the International Student Club, and working collaboratively with the Admissions and Student Activities Offices to plan and staff international student orientation activities.
  • HCCC to Host Annual Career Fair
    HCCC will host its Annual Career Fair on Thursday, March 26 from 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center. This event brings together 70 local and regional businesses to meet with over 600 HCCC students, alumni and community members to discuss career opportunities.
  • Transfer Agreement with SUNY Fredonia
    HCCC recently entered into a new transfer agreement with SUNY Fredonia. The agreement will guarantee Herkimer students who complete an Associate in Science (A.S.) in Communication Arts: Music Industry transfer into the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration with a concentration in Music Industry at SUNY Fredonia.
  • “They Built America” Performance
    HCCC will host a live performance of “They Built America: The Workers of the Erie Canal” on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
  • HCCC Announces Science Fair Winners
    HCCC hosted its Jr./Sr. High School Science Fair, sponsored by ICON, on Saturday, February 7 in the Gaynor Science Center. Students in Herkimer County junior and senior high schools and Herkimer County home schooled students were invited to participate. Thirty four students entered from Hight Christian Academy, Little Falls Middle School, Mohawk Valley Christian Academy, Mount Markham, Pathways Academy and West Canada Valley Central School. A total of $1,000 in cash prizes were awarded. Projects were judged by ICON scientists and HCCC faculty.
