    Due to the holidays, HCCC will be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Sunday, December 28 and Wednesday, December 31 through Sunday, January 4, 2015.
  • Festival Lights at Herkimer Mini Park
    The annual “Festival of Lights” has been rescheduled for Monday, December 15 at the Tony Baggetta Mini Park, located on the corner of West Smith and William Streets. The festival will begin at 7 p.m. followed by a reception at the Herkimer Area Resource Center Valley Commons, located at 344 South Main Street.
  • On Point for College Celebration
    HCCC staff and students recently attended the On Point for College Celebration, held at Daniele’s in Utica, to recognize community partners, build awareness and celebrate transforming lives as well as community. For the past 15 years, On Point for College has helped more than 5,000 first-generation youth to get into college. HCCC staff work closely with On Point for College counselors to provide support services to these students.   • Transfer Agreement with Upstate Medical University
    HCCC recently entered into a new transfer agreement with Upstate Medical University. The agreement will facilitate the transition of qualified students from HCCC’s Liberal Arts & Sciences: Science program into a Bachelor of Science at Upstate Medical University in one of the following upper division programs: Medical Imaging Radiography (X-ray), Medical Imaging Sciences/Ultrasound, Medical Technology, Medical Biotechnology, Radiation Therapy and Respiratory Therapy.
  • HCCC Grants Four Retirees Emeritus Status
    At their meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2014, the HCCC Board of Trustees passed a resolution granting emeritus status to four recent retirees, effective January 1, 2015.
  • PTA Club Collects for VA
    Students in the Physical Therapy Club at HCCC held a collection to benefit veterans in VA Outreach programs as part of a professional involvement assignment. Items collected included canned food, personal hygiene products, towels and washcloths. Pictured from left to right are club members Tonya Hayes (Sherrill) and Diana Stevenson (Clinton). The Physical Therapy Club is one of more than 40 student clubs and organizations at HCCC. The purpose of the club is to provide a forum for all students, including those enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant program, to explore current physical therapy topics.
