  HCCC baseball player Troy Butler selected by Colorado Rockies in 2023 MLB Draft

  HCCC baseball player Troy Butler, Fort Plain, NY, was selected in the 20th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday, July 11.

  44 HCCC Student-Athletes Named to NJCAA All-Academic Teams; Five Herkimer Generals Teams Recognized on NJCAA List of All-Academic Teams

  Five HCCC athletic teams and 44 student-athletes were recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for academic achievement in 2022-2023. The NJCAA released the annual lists of All-Academic Teams and Academic Teams of the Year on Monday, July 17. The Generals led Region III with the largest number of students and teams recognized.

  A MOVEit Transfer software cyber incident has impacted institutions across the nation and three organizations that HCCC works with – the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), TIAA-CREF, and Corebridge (formerly AIG).

  HCCC to Offer Coed Youth Basketball Camp

  HCCC will hold a basketball camp for boys and girls ages 8-15. The camp will be held Monday, July 31 through Wednesday, August 2 in the varsity gymnasium in the Physical Education Building.

  HCCC to offer Generals Swim Club for Youth

  HCCC is offering a Generals Swim Club for youth ages 8 and up. The program will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from July 25, through August 24.

  BOT Meetings Scheduled

  The Executive Committee of the HCCC Board of Trustees will hold a meeting on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. in the Classroom-Administration Building, room 243. A regularly scheduled meeting of the full Board of Trustees will take place on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 282/283.
