    President of Arc Herkimer to receive honorary degree at Commencement 2020
    Herkimer County Community College has announced that Kevin Crosley, president and CEO of the Herkimer County Chapter of NYSARC, Inc. (Arc Herkimer) will be awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D.) by the State University of New York (SUNY) at HCCC’s 2020 Commencement. Crosley will be only the second recipient of an honorary degree at Herkimer County Community College; the first was founding College President Robert McLaughlin in 2010.

    Message to our campus community regarding the Coronavirus
    We are closely monitoring the recent outbreak of a 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. This novel coronavirus is a respiratory tract illness that presents flu-like symptoms. It was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, and has spread to several countries, including five confirmed cases in the US.

  • President Cathleen McColgin's response to Governor Cuomo's State of the State Address
    In his January 8, 2020 State of the State address, Governor Cuomo proposed several workforce development initiatives, as well as increasing the income level for residents to qualify for free SUNY college tuition through the Excelsior Scholarship. We at Herkimer County Community College applaud his efforts to expand access to quality training and higher education and to meet the current and future job demands of our communities.
