Two HCCC Professors Named 2019 SUNY Online Teaching AmbassadorsHerkimer County Community College Professor of Chemistry George Smith and Assistant Professor of English Jason Brown have been named Open SUNY Online Teaching Ambassadors for 2019. They were recognized for this distinction at the Open SUNY Summit, an annual conference for online practitioners.

HCCC Announces 51st Annual Commencement; 463 Candidates for Degrees and CertificatesHerkimer County Community College will hold its 51st Commencement on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 4 p.m. in the Physical Education Building. There are 463 candidates for degrees and certificates.

HCCC Establishes New Transfer Agreement with SUNY CobleskillHerkimer County Community College recently entered into a new transfer agreement with SUNY Cobleskill. The agreement creates a seamless transfer into Cobleskill’s Bachelor of Science Communication in Technology program for HCCC students who complete the A.S. Communication and Media program.

Cogar Gallery to Exhibit “Mohawk Valley Through the Lens”An exhibit of photographs “Mohawk Valley Through the Lens,” by various photographers will be on display at HCCC’s Cogar Gallery May 6th through June 28th. An artist’s reception will be held on May 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Cogar Gallery.

HCCC Inducts 68 Students into Phi Theta Kappa International Honor SocietyHCCC held its annual Phi Theta Kappa induction ceremony on Tuesday, April 23. Sixty eight students were inducted into HCCC’s Upsilon Epsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
